This isn't the most glamorous and exciting of the strategies, I know. However it really will help in your academic success. Succeeding in your degree takes focus, good time management skills, and persistence in the best of circumstances.

A general guideline is to study for 2-3 hours per credit hour every week, outside of class sessions. Take the time every day to utilize the time/study blocks you’ve set to review your notes. Daily studying will lead to an easier and more effective way to absorb the information, which will stick in your brain in the long run. Not to mention, you’ll avoid having to cram for the test.

Make sure you have a dedicated, quiet space to study where there are no distractions. As discussed in Strategy 1 - Create a Daily Schedule & Stick To It, this can be difficult in our current situation, but do what you can.
